During Men’s SP, two of Dai’s ice dance idols, Anissina and Peizerat, were watching his skate in the front row!!! (and ofc, they were watching others’ too, lol). I wonder if he noticed them. If so, he must have been thrilled!

This program is simply a masterpiece. I believe this was the first time a female dancer lifted the partner? They lost balance a little on that lift at the Olympics. What a shame. They represented France, but Marina is a Russian skater. I love ice dancers from North America, too, but I’m also really, really waiting for a revival of ice dance in Russia.
